We have just had the exciting news that Annie Sloan is related to this old and very influential interior design company. We found this out through becoming part of a the Sloan DNA Project when Nick Sloan, Annie's brother submitted a cheek swab for analysis. It seems our connection goes back probably 5 generations to either Ireland and Scotland so it is rather distant but we are like the idea of an interior design gene!

New colours in the Chalk Paint

We have mixed and decided on the 5 new colours and have renamed a few of them from the names I had firt thought of so they are now -
Pigeon - [a taupe], Versailles ( pale green ochre], Antoinette <Actinic:Variable Name = 'pink'/>, Coco [dark chocolate]and Provence [ a pretty green blue].

They will be here in the early part of June but just in as a trial before we go into production with our final choices.

The new book 'Creating the French Look' is OUT NOW and is selling very well. Annie has had lots of very good compliments about the book. It seems just what lots of people have been waitng for. We have some great publicity in the interior design magazines such as a double page spread in 'Country Homes and Interiors' and there's more coming up.

I am off to Charlotte, North Carolina to film a TV show with Vicki Payne called 'For Your Home' . Two segments wil be filmed using ideas from the new book 'Creating the French Look' 9th June 2008
I have just come back from a sweltering Charlotte and taped the shows in a heatwave! That famous southern hospitality made me feel very welcome and I met up with some English clients www.english-interiors.com who have an interior design company in Beaufort, South Carolina.

We are looking for a person to distribute our paint in France to small and large shops. Know anyone or want to do it yourself?
As France is so big we expect this to be done in regional areas.

There will be 4 pages from 'Creating the French Look' plus some special offers on the courses in the August edition of BBC Homes and Antiques.
The magazine comes out on 6th July,

Annie was brought in as the kitchen expert for the TV show Open House. This is the programme that helps owners sell their house by redesigning some aspect of their house before putting it on the market and having an Open House weekend for viewing.
The programe will be aired in September.

We are looking for new shops to sell our fabulous almost edible paint.
